C7Auditor is an easy to use audit collection utility for capturing Impromptu Web Reports and Powerplay Enterprise Server audit log information. C7Auditor allows you to define multiple Audit Definitions (to track multiple IWR and/or PPES Servers and/or versions). C7Auditor keeps a historical record of both IWR and PPES Audit Collections for each Audit definition. Built in reports include an Audit Detail Activity Report - by views or by executions, which shows usage of IWR by user and published report, and an Activity Log Report, which shows the history of audit collections. Custom reporting is now available using the included Impromptu catalog. With the Impromptu catalog, you can now publish custom reports to the web via IWR. Included are the supporting files needed to produce PPES Usage and IWR usage cubes.
C7Auditor uses Microsoft SQL Server as the database engine for the colection of usage data.

This allows the C7Auditor user to exclude development/test versions of reports/cubes, and exclude IT developers and testers to provide a clearer picture of tru usage. This also allows the grouping of users independent of User Class.
4. Multiple versions of PPES/IWR - All of the logs are parsed into one database, allowing IT to track usage and performance across multiple versions of IBM Cognos.
5. Windows/Unix Support - Both Windows and Unix versions of IBM Cognos are supported.
6. Migration scoping - C7Auditor, combined with Metadata Manager, provide the precise, critical information needed to minimize the cost and resources required of any IBM Cognos migration effort.
