PPES Auditor is an easy to use audit collection utility for capturing Powerplay Enterprise Server audit log information. PPES Auditor allows you to define multiple Audit definitions (to track multiple PPES Servers). PPES Auditor keeps a historical record of PPES Audit collections for each Audit definition. Built in reports include an Audit Detail Activity Report, which shows usage of Powerplay by user and cube, and an Audit Collection History Report, which shows the listing of Audit Collections. Custom reporting is now available using the included Impromptu Catalog, and a standard "PPESAuditor" Transformer model, report, and .IQD are also included. Dimensions include Date, Servers, Cubes, Dimensions, User Classes, Users, Hour of Day, and Avg Response Time Groups. Measures include # Requests, Avg Response Time in Seconds, Session Count, Dimensional Hits, Dim Categories Accessed, and Dim Categories Accessed/Hit. With the Impromptu Catalog, you can now publish standard (included) and custom reports and cubes to the web via IWR.
Audit Maintenance allows you to purge the audit log activity.
PPES Auditor parses the PPES audit logs into .csv files, renames them with a unique identifier, and provides a list of audit files parsed (Auditlist). PPES Auditor never deletes original audit files, so that they may be examined in their original form.
PPES Auditor works on all versions of PPES (versions 6 and 7).
PPES Auditor helps with ReportNet/Cognos 8 migration by helping to determine the utilization value of published cubes. See Audit Collection Concepts.
PPES Auditor ($1250 US) can be purchased as a stand-alone utility, or bundled with IWR Auditor into PPES-IWR Auditor ($1950 US), giving you one source for PPES and IWR audit collection and reporting. You can also purchase PPES Auditor first, then migrate up to PPES-IWR Auditor later for the difference in price. PPES Auditor is also included as an integrated module in BI Manager.
